I was very hungry yesterday and indulged in a 4 egg spinach and mushroom omelet even though it was only 48 hours after my last injection. I even ate 2 Activia yogurts during the day. I suspect I hit immunity some time ago and that's why I was so ravenous, plus I've been running/walking on a daily basis.


This morning I have had another spinach, mushroom and squash omelet with a sprinkling of parm cheese. I am still full. Need to go exercise so I'll see ya'll later.

I'm finally able to post, work has been hectic and bowling is well, just fun. I haven't had time to post much because I'm trying to train for the police academy. It involves a lot of running of which I cannot do!! I'm trying to do my best and the push ups are just as bad.

I finished a round this weekend because I was really starting to get hungry and the shots didn't seem to be working. I was on and off for some time with the shots because some weeks I just couldn't do it or TOM was lurking and I would just stop for that and start right back up. The guys at work have really taken notice so that makes it all worth while, at least someone is noticing!!

Where Have I Been!!

Ok my peeps, sorry I've been away so long, just been really busy!! I started a new summer bowling league and I'm bowling with some big dawgs!! They average over 200 each game so I was very nervous, but I did good.

Anyway, I'm planning on restarting the protocol next week because I just have to!! I need to prepare myself for the academy which should begin later this year! Wish me luck people!!

I really hate my early morning weigh ins. So I really don't think I gained a pound since I was weighing in later the last couple of days. Tonight should prove to be interesting at bowling with the drinking but we stick to Michelob Ultra.

I just kept cleaning yesterday and went shopping at JC Penney for some tops for my daughter and myself. I got some plaid bermuda shorts and capris for myself but I wasn't too thrilled when I had to get the size 16 petites. So this summer I am sticking to my guns with protocol. June should be a very good month, no holiday and no celebrations of any sorts will be conducted that month.

My daughter has been having tummy troubles for the last week and I'm completely unsure what is going on. She has a healthy appetite and an excellent metabolism but she complains that her tummy feels hard and she always feel full even if she hasn't eaten. Since it hasn't gone away I will have to make her an appointment with the doctor, ugh.

It's Monday and its my day off, whoo hoo!! Late last year I had my schedule changed and now I'm off on Sundays and Mondays, but that means I have to work on Saturdays. I don't mind at all. Besides I was always taking Mondays off anyway so this works for everybody. Anyway, yesterday I started cleaning my room and now it looks much better. I'm hoping that since my daughter saw me cleaning my room that it will rub off on her and I don't have to nag her. She's getting better though, she washes her dishes right after she eats, but she only washes hers and not mine, ugh!!

I'm trying to look into carb cycling. I'm still researching. If anyone know some good websites please send them my way.

Miz Biz, I'll have to look into that, I know Atkins had those high fat days to break a plateau and such but it sounds like a good plan, send me some info. I do have macadamias in the fridge!!

I must apologize to everyone for my absence. On Wednesday I woke up feeling really crappy and called in sick to work. Then I sat here pondering what the heck I was doing. I made up my mind to call it quits until my bowling leagues are over. It has been very difficult because of the drinking and munchies. I want to stay true to the protocol and my cheating will not help at all. During the summer I only want to be in one league to save money and start over again with the protocol. So for now I'm just trying to watch my food intake, limit carbs and exercise a bit.

Also, I'm unable to get on the internet at work during the later half of the week because I have to be at the front desk and everyone can see what I'm doing. I don't want my supervisors to see what I'm doing and get written up for "not working". I try to read up on everyone daily but I don't always get to post comments for the same reason.

I wish everyone the best and hope that everyone stays true to the protocol and not be weak like me.

Hoppy Easter Everybody!!

Mini Break for Easter Holiday

Sorry I haven't posted the last couple of days, I had to actually do some work for my employer, he, he!! TOM took his sweet ass time and finally yesterday he came with a vengeance!! I'm just glad so I can restart where I left off and start dropping again. I was steadily dropping again Thursday and Friday but TOM would only give sneak previews. Yesterday we celebrated Easter because my sister came into town and she would need to be leaving today and we didn't want her to be rushing to get back home (4 hour drive). So we had brisket, pasta salad, my potato dish (I don't know what its called, its just good to eat), beans and fresh veggies. They had an ice cream bar set up but I did not partake. After we ate, I was just so sleepy from having worked from 5am to 9am and coming home to clean up and make the potatoes. I had also gone to the pro shop to pick up my new bowling ball that was drilled especially for me (he was closed yesterday). I'll need to take it out tomorrow and practice.

Do you believe this?! TOM makes me retain so much water than I instantly gain nearly 5 lbs a month because of him. I'm home now and he's only made a sneak preview so far. I hate him so much!!! I came home early because I'm waiting on my new bowling ball to arrive since they forgot to ship it last week.

Now, food wise, I didn't go to crazy yesterday, I had a small serving a steak for breakfast, a small burrito???, a grilled chicken salad for lunch and tuna salad for dinner. I'm not sure if I ate enough calories yesterday or drank enough water, etc. This whole week will be blamed on TOM, that bastard son of a bitch!!!

I read in yesterday's paper that we will be hosting a major Women PBA tournament next year here in our Sun City. They will have to convert our convention center into a 48 lane bowling alley and we are expecting close to 40,000 female bowlers to attend. Is that awesome or what?! I'm hoping to get inducted into the Eastside Lady Keglers so I can participate in these tournaments. I am so excited until I think of TOM, ugggh!!

Hey Miz Biz, I don't understand what you are taking about, what pattern on Tuesdays? Just drinking and bowling. (He,he) Our bowling leagues are almost over so that should help me as well, protocol wise and financially.

I want to start my post by addressing Paige's comment from yesterday about the eggs. I have done the protocol several times and have done it with the inclusion of eggs. I've even incorporated my own "egg day" for Phase 2, sometimes rather than an "apple day" with great results. Below is the direct quote from Dr. Simeons Pounds and Inches manuscript.

"Very occasionally we allow egg - boiled, poached or raw - to patients who develop an aversion to meat, but in this case they must add the white of three eggs to the one they eat whole. In countries where cottage cheese made from skimmed milk is available 100 grams may occasionally be used instead of the meat, but no other cheeses are allowed."

So there you have it Paige. Now, nowhere does it say you can have them fried, but on the Yahoo forum, it has been discussed that coconut oil has helped some and failed others, to each his own, if it works for you, great if not or don't even want to try, don't use it until Phase 3.

I was really stressing yesterday while at work because we got slammed. Then two people didn't show up that were suppose to relieve partner and myself, eventually they got here but its not fun waiting on them.

My bowling wasn't that great yesterday but what can I say, c'est la vie!!

What the hell? Yesterday morning I got up and watched tv for a bit, got in the shower and headed out to do my grocery shopping. I went to Costco to gas up, went inside to get some spring mix greens and romaine lettuce. I headed to a local store to stock up on meat for P3, went to Albertson's for a few items, another local store for a few items, Target, the Dollar Tree and finally Wal*Mart. I'm well stocked now and then I realized when I got home that I hadn't been drinking water the whole time that I was out. So I'm hoping that 1 pound gain is water retention because of that. I weighed myself when I got home and I was still the same weight, bummer!! All that walking and the scale didn't budge a bit.

During the afternoon, I grilled some of the meat for my daughter because I had no more room in the freezer for it and I grilled a chicken breast for my lunch today. I accidentally indulged in a small container of Activia yogurt and my daughter even questioned me "I thought you couldn't have yogurt on your diet?" She was right, I had a brain fart, oh well. Live and learn.

I may need to take this week off because I'm not sure what we will be doing for Easter and I'm still waiting on TOM. I know its too soon after beginning. I wasn't expecting a stall already but I should have known better with TOM lurking, that rat bastard!! Anyway, I should not have watched Man v. Food marathon yesterday. He was eating all this delicious (forbidden) foods that made my daughter and myself want to raid the fridge or every restaurant we could drive to!! I stuck to my menu. My daughter finally said she didn't want to watch it anymore because it just made her hungry and I agreed, but I still like to watch the challenges. So needless to say, I didn't do much yesterday except sit in front of the boob tube. I grilled some chicken breasts because it was nice day yesterday. I indulged a little by adding a bit of Monterrey Jack cheese to my chicken breast, it was good!! That my have been my downfall but it was TOM's fault!!! Ha, ha, just blame the men, right?

Breakfast:
2 fried eggs(in coconut oil), 1 Wasa fiber crispbread, coffee

2 fried eggs(in coconut oil), 2 Melba toast, water

Grilled chicken breast, small slice of melted Mont Jack cheese, broccoli and more water

By the way, I think that Wasa Fiber Crispbread really helped because I woke up this morning and really need to get "moving". It's not the greatest tasting but it was nice having something crisp (like toast) with my eggs.

Since I didn't have time to post yesterday, I'm posting it all today. Friday night proved to be exhausting. I was bowling against the male bowler I have a crush on. I bowled for crap because of it and he bowled a 300!! Anyway, I had to get up extra early on Saturday (4am) to get to work by 5am. I got home exhausted and just made dinner for myself and my daughter, we watched some tv and I went to bed last night at 8:30pm. I woke up this morning at 6:30. Ten hours of sleep, not bad eh? When I get on the scale and what to my surprise?! A gain!! Not a huge gain but I did check my fingers and my ring did fit a little snug and it hasn't felt like that the last few days. What that tells me is that I either had too much sodium yesterday and/or TOM is lurking. I'm sure its both reasons because TOM didn't really visit last month and has decided to rear his ugly ass head for the month of April. I'm sure the HCG had something to do with that as well because I didn't want to wait till after TOM to begin Phase 2.

Since I got up early this morning, I went ahead and headed out to Wal-Mart to get some groceries. I remembered that they had some Steamers veggies on sale for a buck so I picked up some broccoli, another big box of Tilapia fillets and today's paper. I really like Tilapia fish, it defrosts quickly (individually wrapped) and cooks just as fast. My daughter enjoys it so that's a big plus too!! Unrelated completely, I saw a cardinal outside our window this morning, that is a rarity around here in the desert.

Since I've dropped close to 10 pounds already, my back and right knee are ever so grateful. I started to miss days from work because as soon as I got up and started getting ready, my back would stiffen up to the point where I couldn't bend over to get my pants on!! Then I get to work and sit for a while, again, when I would have to get up, the pain would greet me first. But now, the pain has diminished about 70%, I still feel a bit of stiffness, especially when I lay in bed too long. My knee is not hurting as much after bowling as well.

That's more like it!! I didn't necessarily cheat yesterday but I did indulge in a extra melba toast. I found some organic melba toast in original and sesame at Costco. I ate them because I needed something with a crunch beside potato chips or Cheetos, so the melba helped. I was feeling really hungry last night but I just drank more water and was too lazy to make a cup of wu-long tea. I have bowling tonight and I hope my muscles can take it. Everytime I start VLCD, my arms hurt more than when I'm not on P2.

I did much better yesterday but watching Man vs. Food late at night was not a good idea. The food looked so tempting that I wanted to raid the fridge but I didn't. It was just old cravings because the burgers looked so good and the 5 pound burrito looked pretty good too!!!

I'm surprised I even had a loss because we've learned that cheats don't necessarily show up the next day but within the next few days. I behaved yesterday and resisted temptation. I did another all protein day to kinda help with the cheat.

Ok I must admit I cheated yesterday but not until later in the evening at bowling. My teammate decided to order a pizza and I caved in to a small slice and I drank lots of Michelob Ultra low carb beer. I don't seem to have a problem with the beer it's the cheat. I believe the beer helps me but that is just my opinion and observation. I hate to think how much more I would have lost had I not done that but I can't hang myself with the "what ifs". I'm not mad at anyone but myself but I'll just deal with it and move on. This only proves to me that Tuesday are going to be difficult until this league is over (7 more weeks)!!

After we visited the bar (yes, more beer), my daughter and I drove through Taco Bell. I figured I had already messed up, might as well make it worth my while. Let's see what tomorrow holds.

I'm finally back after some stumbling back in January. I stopped in January because of my birthday and Super Bowl. I had waaaaay too much fun!!! So much in fact that I got myself in a bind but all that is behind me now. I would have started sooner this month but then there was Spring Break with my daughter. Who wants to be on a diet when there's a teenager in the house eating 24/7??? Anyway, I'm ready and its about time. My back and my right knee have been suffering since gaining back most of my weight (197 was my original weight back in '07). I'm just going to count this as round one again because I am starting pretty much from the beginning again. I just hope I can remember everything and I need to reread Pounds and Inches.

I'm doing my VLCD day 1 as my egg day. Those have been very successful for me and I want to get rid of as much weight as possible my first week so I can feel 50% better already. I plan on doing 60 days this round because round 2 is very difficult for me after enjoying Phase 3. We'll just have to wait and see. I remember my first round back in August of 2007, I did the 40 day protocol and lost 25 lbs. I can only hope to do the same this time. Easter may prove to be a task but we'll see. Anyway, I already screwed up because I forgot my injection yesterday so I did a 3rd load day because I want to do the 60 days. I weighed 182.4 on Friday and now I'm at 189.4 after my 3 day load. Guess I did a good job there, hopefully it comes off just as quickly as I put it on. I managed to eat most of the bad stuff in the fridge so there will be no temptation (hopefully).

Well, I have rambled on enough, let's see what tomorrow holds for me!!!

I'm going to lie, I did cheat a bit yesterday and maybe didn't make a good selection for my veggie. I ate 3 demitasse spoonfuls of chunky peanut butter and 2 small handfuls of popcorn. My daughter had eaten 2 bags of popcorn throughout the day and last night I couldn't take it anymore so I caved. Then for dinner I chose green beans for my veggie, I did fine before with them but I guess the combination of my cheat didn't help.

Oh CB, I wish I had read your comment last night rather than this morning. I don't have hunger issues either just temptations. I agree whole heartedly with you about food being an addiction!! I'm mixing a new batch today because I only have 2 injections left in this batch and I won't have time tomorrow to mix it. These last 2 injections are more like 1.25ml because the last little bit was only about a 0.5ml so I divided into the last two injections. It's weak anyway so maybe it will help a bit.

Ahhhh, I spoke too soon. But I must confess I did cheat yesterday with a Mexican pastry. I had been working so hard moving stuff around at the station that I started to feel hungry and tired. I thought just one cheat on Saturday and behave the rest of the week. Yes, I'm trying to justify my cheat. I don't think there was a gain because I was so tired last night that I fell asleep finally at around 11pm and I didn't wake until 8am this morning. It was very good deep sleep I might add. I was so dead asleep that I didn't even hear my daughter when she got home from babysitting. I did awake at 3am to check the house to make sure she was here and she was. I went to bed so late because I was trying to complete my tax return on line and there was a glitch in the system and it kept giving me an error. I finally got so fed up with it that I erased all my data and will start over again today.

The next two days are going to be difficult because I am off from work and my daughter is home both days. She always seems to be hungry 24/7.

Yes CB, it seems that we are the only ones left blogging, they all seem to be on the forum, but we are doing just great!!!

I'd say I'm doing pretty good for only being on VLCD day 5. Last night I went bowling and I had 2 mini (7oz) Bud Lights. I started to feel really tipsy so I stopped after those two. My teammate got upset because I wasn't drinking like I usually do but that's his problem. Let's see what tomorrow holds since it is my day off and I can sleep in and weigh myself later in the morning.

I work on Saturdays now and there is a coworker that brings all kinds of Mexican pastries and donuts. There is one particular pastry that is my weakness but I'm not even going to look in the box!! I'm only on day 5 and it is not time to start cheating, I will not open that door!!!!

Okay, I guess my expectations are bit high, I was hoping for a larger number but I'll take it. I think since my HCG is a bit old, its not as potent as a fresh batch but waste not!! I only have a few injections left with this bottle then I can mix a fresh batch. Also, since I have to weigh in at 4 am, my numbers are skewed.

I haven't been hungry and I don't eat till I get home after 1pm. So far so good, but next week will probably be another story. My bitchiness has returned and everyone is annoying me here at work. My energy is also very good because I didn't need a nap yesterday and I slept very well. I awoke at 2:30am and was ready to go. Unfortunately, I awoke to the smell of poop! I got up to investigate, so I went to my bathroom and turned the light on. Luckily for me I didn't take an extra step because one of my cats was gracious enough to leave a nice heaping pile right at the entrance to the bathroom. I had reached around to the switch therefore I was able to avoid stepping in it, if I had taken that extra step, my foot would have been a shitty mess!! I suspect one cat but I can't be too sure, he's the only one that enjoys leaving me these nasty surprises. I guess I've bitched enough for today, wait for updates tomorrow.

Looky there, 4 pounds gone already. I really hate my 4am weigh ins, I just think if I could weigh myself later in the morning, I would have better numbers but I'll take it!!

I went bowling yesterday after a 3 week hiatus and did pretty good. Everyone on my team was drinking mixed drinks and me with my water, lots of water. A friend of my teammate showed up and she ordered the supreme nachos and placed them in front of me. I wanted to smack her!! I resisted and everyone gobbled them up. I wasn't hungry but I'm trying to break my old habits that I have fallen into again. If there's food in front of me, I will eat it and now I have to work at reminding myself that I can not do that!!

Today is finally my official first VLCD day. So far I haven't experienced any hunger and my coworker has been out, so I haven't had any offers for food. I was on Facebook yesterday and found out my 20th high school reunion was last month!! I hope they have another one later this year. They did post pictures and everyone looks different, if you know what I mean. I'm happy though because I was able to connect with some friends that I haven't spoken to since high school.

3rd Load Day, Finally Decided

I finally decided to do a 3rd load day. There is too much food in the fridge and I don't want it to go to waste (cash in the trash is not my motto). So tomorrow is my official 1st VLCD day!!

Sorry guys but I'm going for the long haul and I feel that a 3rd load day will help me in the long run. This is going to be my longest Phase 2 ever!! Wish me luck!!!

Saturday I tested a batch of HCG that I had in the fridge and it is still good!! I had it wrapped in foil (amber bottle), stored in a thermos toward the back of the fridge where it gets very cold but not frozen, and the magic potion is still good!! There probably about 10 injections left so I'll use it up before mixing a new batch. Maybe my new batch will be sublingual so I can stay on as long as possible before taking a break. What do you think? I'm really starting to hate the injections but I know they're more effective but I might just try the sublingual. I haven't tried subcutaneous, just intramuscular. I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

Its good to see everyone starting off the new year on HCG. It seems many of us fell off the wagon but now we are all getting back on!!! I need to do this people, my life depends on it. It depends on it physically, emotionally and financially!! It sounds strange but I need to step up my game employment wise because of the economy. I'm not able to get back to school yet because of finances not to mention the holidays just came and left and I am even more broke that before the holidays. (Income tax refund here I come!!) Oh yea, I forgot we are going to Las Vegas here very soon, April I believe, and I need to look for that as well!!

Well, I wasn't able to finish everything in the fridge so I'm debating on doing a 3rd day of loading. I plan on going in for the long haul since there are really no celebratory holidays, food wise I mean. I don't have much time to think about this because it is already 10am!!!

My monthly bill has finally arrived (2 days ago) and I can begin the downward trend again. I was too afraid to step on the scale this morning so until tomorrow and I can see the damage I have done. I have been doing the loading this week so this weekend will be fun. I've already begun with the KK donuts and I have a whole loaf of banana bread that I made earlier this week. My daughter isn't too happy about me starting again but she understands that I need to do this. Not to mention all the clothes that I have bought recently are fitting a bit tight.

My daughter and I have been at each others throats, so I have had to pull the mommy card out many a time lately. I like being her friend but she is just getting outta hand now.

Back For A New Year!!

I'm still on the wire of starting today or tomorrow or just wait for my monthly to show up, which should be later this week.

I can't believe I let myself get to where I am now but it just made me realize how easily it is to fall back into bad routines and habits. It takes a real effort to stay on track and I only have myself to blame for what I've done. I really need to buckle down this year because I only have until September to get in shape and try out for the police department. This is my goal for this year!!! I've been saying I want to join for the last 6 years but I really need to do it soon.

Wish me luck guys on both of my endeavors: getting healthier and fit and getting on the department as an officer!!
